Lesson Reviews
“I’ve been studying with Nicole for a bit over 2 years now. She is a fabulous teacher! When I took up the guitar, at age 71, I was new to the instrument. Although I had some piano lessons as a youngster, no guitar experience whatsoever. She has worked with me weekly since then and I’m very happy with my progress. Of course, I have a lot more to learn but I’m enjoying the process. Nicole is very encouraging and works with me to select lesson material that I’ll find enjoyable. She is particularly good at focusing on those skills that will benefit me over the long haul—after playing for a while, you start to realize just how important good ergonomics—be it body posture, left hand or right hand positioning—is to playing a piece well. I foresee us working together for many years to come!”
— Peggy Landini“I can’t say enough about how wonderful Nikki is as a teacher. I took up music and specifically the classical guitar 18 months ago at the age of 53. She has been incredibly supportive and kind. Just what I needed when my confidence was at its lowest. Nikki’s advice is always on point and given in a gentle manner. My confidence, technique and musical knowledge has flourished under her guidance. I would never have gotten to where I am at right now without Nikki’s indispensable advice and encouragement. I hope to continue working with Nikki weekly via Zoom for many more years.
— Trev FoxAs a guitar teacher, Nicole has a remarkable ability to pinpoint technical strengths and weaknesses while guiding steady progress lesson by lesson. Over nearly two years of study, she has helped me build strong fundamentals while preventing bad habits before they take root. Just as importantly, Nicole consistently demonstrates patience, kindness, and encouragement. I genuinely benefit from every lesson with Nicole and always look forward to the next.
